The Journey Begins

Sonatura is a live music facilitation practice that supports mental, physical, and spiritual exploration through highly personalized and adaptive live music journeys.

A musical synthesis of traditional sound practices and contemporary tools, Sonatura enhances wellness spaces by offering live, emotionally attuned presence through music — expanding and reimagining how we support transformation in today’s evolving practices.

Whether within a ceremony, a retreat, a yoga flow, or a meditative setting, Sonatura offers an attuned, human musical companionship that responds to what’s unfolding. It aims to demonstrate the need for a deeply human-centered approach to the music component of PAT, and to offer a customized and resonant alternative to the current "static playlist" model.

At Sonatura, we believe music isn’t here to tell you what to feel — it’s here to ask questions. Our live, adaptive music doesn’t impose meaning or mood. Instead, it responds in real time, offering spaciousness, reflection, and grounded presence.

Our music doesn’t lead the story — it listens for it. It accompanies the moment, enhancing what’s already there without trying to define it. We don’t pretend to know what you’re feeling. We simply help create an environment where your experience feels supported — with music that companions rather than controls, that holds space rather than fills it.

About the Founder

Matt Fetbrandt

Founder & Live Music Facilitator

Matt Fetbrandt is a composer, music director, and adaptive live music facilitator with 25 years of experience spanning theater, education, performance, and community healing. His work sits at the intersection of live music, emotional presence, and integrative wellness. After performing his studies at Berklee College of Music, Matt’s career began in theatre and dance education spaces, where he composed original music, led youth and adult ensembles, and music-directed educational programs across New York City and Los Angeles — including extensive work with National Dance Institute, Youth Pride Chorus, and The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. For nearly a decade, he also served as an international piano entertainer, performing high-energy, all-request shows across the U.S., Europe, and the Caribbean. After stepping away from the entertainment industry and the grind of touring, Matt founded Sonatura, a personalized live music facilitation practice supporting therapeutic, spiritual, and psychedelic-assisted journeys. Sonatura emerged through Matt’s own healing path, integrating over ten years of Recovery and deep work with a number of entheogens. These experiences, paired with training in yoga, meditation, and breathwork, inform his trauma-aware, consent-based musical approach. At the heart of Matt’s facilitation ethos is the belief that neither he, nor the music, performs the healing — rather, it invites the conditions for healing to unfold. His sessions prioritize emotional intelligence, real-time responsiveness, and non-hierarchical presence, whether supporting individuals in ceremony, collaborating with licensed clinicians, or co-creating sonic space in group retreats. Through Sonatura, Matt continues to advocate for integrity, inclusivity, musical consent, and cultural humility in the evolving psychedelic wellness space.
